FOUNDERS' STORY

Birthed out of an expressed need, by Vietnamese caregivers of children with disabilities, for mental health support and resources, New Lens is a combination of Caroline's Occupational Therapist skills and Kelly's experience as a photographer and visual storyteller. The course was created to offer adults a safe, communal space to learn practical, creative, and life-giving techniques.

In developing the program, and motivated by the positive feedback of participants, Kelly and Caroline decided to continue growing the project, making it universally available to any adult with a common life challenge.

Since its 2021 inception, New Lens has had the honor of facilitating courses for people with spinal chord injuries, rural mothers of children with special needs, caregivers of adults with varying disabilities and more. We strive to continue to be a safe and inclusive space to equip all adults with tools and skills to see and experience their lives through a new lens.
